Lucy Jenkins gained her Bachelor Degree in Health Science in the major of Acupuncture from NZCCM (New Zealand Chinese College of Medicine). Upon completing her studies in 2014, she obtained several years of clinical experience working in hospitals and clinics overseas and in New Zealand. Her former career overseas before she migrated to NZ, she was a licensed ward midwife then became a public health midwife. While settling in NZ she continues to progress her passion to health by working as a health and homecare assistant, and rehabilitation coach for traumatic brain injury clients. She has obtained further training and certificates including Medication Competency and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention). In addition to her work experience in New Zealand she worked as a business administrator in the car industry for over 10 years, and also in the seafood industry before she decided to study Acupuncture.
As an ACC Registered Acupuncturist Lucy can treat a variety of injuries, as well as alleviating pain and inflammation. Lucy loves adopting a traditional approach to pain management and acupuncture allows her to free people from the continual use of painkillers by removing imbalances with in the body and encourage energy to flow.
Lucy also practices cosmetic acupuncture which is a safe and effective treatment that revitalises blood flow helping to lift and tighten maturing skin.
She uses her knowledge and experience to help people choose the solutions that are most appropriate for them.
